Cosco Shipping Lines zal het derde recordschip van 21.237 teu uit een reeks van zes inschakelen in de AEU1 Service, waarvoor Zeebrugge de enige Beneluxaanloop wordt. De AEU1 zal vanaf 11 mei Zeebrugge wekelijks aanlopen.
Na de ‘Cosco Shipping Universe’ (foto) en de ‘Cosco Shipping Nebula’ van 21.237 teu – die beide in de AEU3 Service tussen het Verre Oosten en Noord-Europa varen, die onder andere Antwerpen aanloopt – zal de Chinese rederij Cosco Shipping Lines in april het zusterschip ‘Cosco Shipping Galaxy’ in de vaart nemen. Het zijn de grootste schepen in de vloot van de Chinese carrier.
Cosco zal dit derde recordschip inschakelen in de AEU1 Service. De maidentrip start op 21 april in Shanghai. Zoals de Ocean Alliance al in december aankondigde, wordt de rotatie van deze dienst gewijzigd, waarbij Zeebrugge de rol van enige Beneluxaanloop van Rotterdam overneemt.
